Promax USB Driver tutorial

  • The Promax II series comes with a USB port. In order to work with NetUpdate, PKUpdate and PKTools, you must install a USB to Serial driver provided with NetUpdate.
  • Connect your Promax II to the computer.
  • Select Advanced Installation and Locate the Driver folder in NetUpdate and run the installation process.
  • Once the initial installation is complete, the Wizard will ask you to install a second driver.
  • Select Advanced Installation and Locate the Driver folder in NetUpdate AGAIN and run the installation process.
  • If you go to your Hardware Profile, you should see both drivers as shown below.
  • The Promax II will now respond on COM6.
