Remote Control Configuration
Your Mag 254 remote can be programmed to control your TV and A/V equipment.
Each blue button on the Mag 254 remote can reproduce a function of a 3rd party remote control.
To program the remote control, follow these steps:
- Press the blue Power button and the blue A/V button at the same time until the green light under the blue Power button stops blinking and remains steady.
- Press any ot the blue buttons you would like to program once: Blue Power, Mute, A/V, Volume Up, Volume Down.
- The green light starts to blink.
- Position the other remote control 6" in front of this one and press the key you would like to learn on the other remote. This can be any key, not necessarily the key that matches the blue button on the Mag 254 remote that you are programming (eg. you can use the blue Mute button to program the On/Off function of your A/V amplifier).
- If the key has been memorized, the green light will stop blinking and remain steady.
- You can repeat steps 2 to 5 to program the remaining blue buttons on the Mag 254 remote
- When you are done, press the blue Power button and the blue A/V button at the same time once: the green light will turn off and the remote is no longuer in learning mode.
- Test the buttons you have just programmed. If they do not work for any reason, repeat steps 1 through 7 and try again.
