With the arrival of digital television, Radio France has also expanded its offering in overseas departments and collectivities to over 10 broadcast quality radio services.
Reception
Unlike private broadcasters, who can over-compress their signal, France Télévisions adheres to strict standards to ensure a perfect picture & sound quality. This means that receiving France Télévisions over-the-air or via its official satellite broadcast ensures you are getting a first generation signal that is the closest thing to uncompressed digital television.
If you were able to receive RFO Tempo prior to December 1st, 2010 with an off-air antenna, you should be able to receive the entire France Télévisions package via over-the-air digital television (TNT) with the same antenna. For more information on over-the-air digital television, visit tous au numérique for overseas departments and collectivities.
If you live in an area where over-the-air television is not available (zone blanche), you may receive the France Télévisions channels via Canal Satellite Caraïbes.
