New HD Channels on Star Choice!

TLC HD (272) Free Preview April 24 – May 31. Get more out of life, with the greatest clarity. With lifestyle programming that's equally smart and edgy, this is one channel you'll find your customers returning to again and again. After the free preview, TLC HD will be part of Star Choice's HD Extra package along with Discovery HD, A&E HD, and HDNet for only $4.99/month.

Encore Avenue HD (273) Free Preview April 24 – May 31. When it comes to movies, you can never have enough choices — especially with the crisp sound and picture of High Definition. Featuring commercial free blockbusters from the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s in razor-sharp HD, Encore Avenue HD is available to subscribers west of the Ontario/Manitoba border as a Pick 'n' Pay selection for $2.49/mo. or as a Take 2 selection (2 channels for $2.99/mo.).

February 2008: Wild TV, Nascar Hot Pass, Speed HD on their way!

Wild TV: Starting February 7, 2008, Star Choice is offering Wild TV (ch. 456) - Canada’s first 24-hour hunting and fishing channel dedicated to Canadian hunters, anglers and outdoorsmen and women. Wild TV offers original programming that captures the thrill of hunting and fishing in the Canadian wilderness as well as other favourite outdoors shows from across North America. Wild TV is being offered as a free preview from February 7 to March 7. After March 7, it will be available as a pick n’ pay option ($2.49 Take 1 or $2.99 Take 2 with another pick n’ pay channel). Wild TV’s lineup of shows features Scent Lok's Wildlife Point Blank, Easton's Reality Bowhunting, Eastman's Hunting Journal, Cabela's Memories in the Field and Cabela's Outfitter's Journal, Hunting With Joe Bucher, Fishing With Joe Bucher, Jon Brunson Outdoors, Dodge Outdoor Adventures and many more. NASCAR HotPass: Star Choice is adding 2008 NASCAR HotPass (ch. 440-445), a 36 race package starting with a free preview of the Daytona 500 on February 17 and ending with the Ford 400 on November 16. NASCAR HotPass on Star Choice includes 4 dedicated driver channels – plus 2 in High Definition - offering multiple camera angles, real-time car telemetry, in car audio communication and a dedicated announcer team. This new service will provide race fans with the most comprehensive and powerful NASCAR experience possible. The two HD channels further boasts Canada's biggest and best NO ADDITIONAL COST HD package. Following the free preview, NASCAR HotPass will be priced at $9.99/month or only $4.99/month for customers who also take NHL Centre Ice or NFL Sunday Ticket.

Speed HD: From racing to restoration, motorcycles to movies, SPEED HD delivers quality programming in stunning visuals from the track to the garage on channel 274 on Star Choice. It will join TSN HD and Sportsnet HD as part of the HD Sports Package for $1.99/month, and also requires subscription to the standard definition version of SPEED. Also, please note that customers with packages from English Gold Choice Plus and above can receive the HD SPORTS bundle, including SPEED HD, at no additional cost. SPEED HD will be provided as a free preview for all customers to March 7. Including the NASCAR HD channels, this makes over 15 HD channels added over the last year from Star Choice, with many more to come!

November 1st, 2007: HD PPV now available!

On November 1 Star Choice customers will have access to PPV movies and major events in mind-blowing, crystal-clear HD.

Channel 272 is the spot to catch the most recent Hollywood blockbusters like Transformers in HD, which offers a picture quality better than DVD! Movies provided on PPV HD will be the same price as their standard definition counterparts - $5.99. You may also use any of your PPV credits on HD PPV movies.

This marquee channel will also have major PPV events, including UFC, boxing, and WWE. See the blood, sweat, and tears like you’ve never seem them before, for just $10 more than the standard definition equivalent. The addition of this channel, the largest NO EXTRA COST HD package in Canada, and the incredible 18 HD channels added in the last year, reflects Star Choice's commitment to being the premier HD television provider in Canada.

Star Choice is launching the World Fishing Network (WFN) and GOLTV on March 15, 2007. In addition, it will be adding a total of 5 channels to its already huge HD programming line-up over the coming months.

WFN (Ch. 458) and GOLTV (Ch. 459), LAUNCH DATE: MARCH 15th, 2007

• Both channels will be available as a 2 month free preview.
• Both channels will be added to the “MORE SPORTS” bundle, or available as pick’n’pay selections at $2.49/month each.
• Both WFN and GOLTV will also be available as TAKE 2 options. The World Fishing Network (WFN) is the first television network in North America dedicated 24/7 to all aspects of fishing.

February 1st, 2007: The DSR 207 now available!

The From the outside, the DSR207 looks exactly like the DSR205.

It has identical hardware features with the addition of a USB port on the back of the receiver to be used for future enhancements.

On the inside, IT IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT, with a dramatic increase in memory, processing power, and more sophisticated software.

With its small size, it’s ideal for secondary TVs where space is limited. This new receiver has a fast and easy to use picture-in-guide, faster channel changing and access to amazing new service options that will be coming in the near future.

January 3rd, 2007: The DSR317 is now available.

From the outside, the DSR317 looks exactly like the DSR315 with identical hardware features: 5.1 Optical and Coax outputs, 2 RCA jacks, modem (for IPPV and caller ID), S-video, and the addition of a USB port on the back of the receiver to be used for future enhancements.

On the inside, IT IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT, with a dramatic increase in memory, processing power, and more sophisticated software.

January 3rd, 2007: National Geographic channel available at no extra cost!

Star Choice is expanding there Essential package to include one of our most popular channels. The National Geographic Channel is television at its most gripping. October 31st, 2006: Super Ecran HD now available.

September 14th, 2006: New HD Content on Star Choice

September 5th, 2006: AMC & History Television

New channels and programming is what great television is all about! As of September 1st, Star Choice has two great additions:

American Movie Classics (AMC)

AMC is a 24 hour, movie based network, devoted to the movie fan at heart. This fantastic new channel offers a comprehensive library of popular movies and a critically acclaimed slate of original programming. AMC has been available in the United States for several years now and has quickly become one of our most requested channels by our customers, so we are happy to say... it’s here!

American Movie Classics will be available as a free preview until November 30th, 2006 on channels 609 for customers in the East and on channel 629 for customers in the West. After the free preview of AMC has come to an end, American Movie Classics will fit in perfectly as a part of our Movies East and Movie West packages at no additional cost.

History Television West

Star Choice customers get more time shifting opportunities with the addition of History Television West. As the number one source for entertaining and engaging historical programming, History Television captivates Canadian audiences with gripping stories about the people and events that have shaped our world. Star Choice customers already subscribed to History Television will automatically receive History Television West on channel 516.

May 26th, 2006: New Bundles = More Choice!

On June 1st Star Choice customers will have increased flexibility when customizing their TV experience. With the addition of Intense TV and Variete there will be 20 bundles of channels to choose from! These bundles are available in a variety of programming packages or individually for the unbeatable price of $4.99. Please note customers currently subscribed to channels, which have been added to these bundles, will not be affected by this change.

May 16th, 2006: Drive in Classics & Sex TV now available!

DRIVE-IN CLASSICS

Drive-In Classics is a new specialty channel featuring the funny, entertaining and sometimes provocative drive-in movies of the '50s, '60s and '70s. This channel features fun B-Movies, and televison shows that cater to the "life's a beach" mentality, such as Bay Watch and Son of the Beach. Drive-In Classics channel will launch on May 11th 2006 on ch. 586. There will be a Free Preview from May 11 to June 30. This channel will be available as a pick and pay for $2.49 and as a part of the new Intense TV bundle.

SEXTV: THE CHANNEL

SexTV offers programming which embraces romance and relationships with passion and insight. Sex TV explores sexuality in all its diversity in a respectful, clever and wholly entertaining way. SexTV will launch on May 11th on ch. 585. There will be a Free Preview from May 11th to June 30th. This channel will be available as a pick and pay for $2.49 and as a part the new Intense TV bundle. NOTE: SexTV is not a premium adult channel similar to Hustler, Playboy or Red Light District.

March 29th, 2006: New French Channels, Prise 2 & Cinépop

Star Choice expands french lineup with 2 new exiting channels:

• PRISE 2 (Channel 757) offers French-language television and cinema classics including Canadian and American comedies, dramas, and cult TV shows. PRISE 2 will launch on March 30th.

The DSR530 HDTV dual tuner PVR is available!
