The Viewsat MAXHD High definition and DVR (digital video recorder) comes with a 266mhz RISC processor for Mpeg-2 & Mpeg-4 HDTV reception at 720p and 1080i resolutions. The Viewsat MAXHD comes with a USB port for PVR connectivity (to an external hard drive) and for updates. This is one of the few 2 Mpeg-2 and Mpeg-4 capable HD satellite receiver on the market.
