Upgrading to dual satellite reception (91°W & 82°W)
If you already have ExpressVu and you would like to receive 91°W & 82°W, you need to determine if you currently have:
Scenario #1: Ready for Dual Satellite Reception
- You have a 51cm/20inch dish with dual-satellite capability.
- Your dish has a plastic Y shaped bracket at the end of the arm.
- The Y bracket holds 1 x LNBF and is capable of holding a second LNBF.
- The skew on the back of your dish may already be set, otherwise, you will have to re-align your dish after setting the skew properly.
- If the skew is not set or is set incorrectly, your reception of 82°W will either be very poor or non-existant!
- In this case, you will need
- Dual LNBF to fill the empty slot in your Y bracket.
- An SW21 switch to combine both satellites to only one receiver
or
- An SW44 switch to combine the signal to multiple receivers.
- These items are available in kits:

Scenario #2: Not ready for dual Reception
- A 45cm/18inch dish with single satellite capability.
- This satellite dish is not able to receive both 91°W and 82°W orbital positions and it should be replaced with a 51cm/20inch dish.
- If you alread have an LNBF for your existing 45cm/18inch dish, you may keep this LNBF for the new 51cm/20inch dish.
- In this case you will need our Elliptical dish upgrade kit and an SW21 or an SW44 switch based on how many receivers require 91°W and 82° reception.
