Universal LNBF for linear Ku-Band reception in North America.
A Universal LNBF is capable of receiving the entire linear Ku-Band, from 10.75 to 12.75GHz.
In North America, the 10.75 to 11.70GHz portion is rarely used (except for a few exceptions on satellites located over the Atlantic such as Telstar 12 @ 15°W). The 11.7-12.2GHz is most comonly used and the 12.2-12.7GHz portion is reserved for circular polarity satellites (not compatible with this linear LNBF).
This LNBF switches between the 10.75-11.6 and 11.6-12.75 GHz band using a 22KHz tone and 2 separate Local Oscillator frequencies: 9,750 an 10,600MHz. This LNBF configuration is found under the UNIVERSAL LNBF setting on most Free-to-air satellite receivers.
This is the LNBF has a 40mm neck that fits on most dishes over 76cm/30inches in diameter.
