New clients will see a $6.00 service fee on their first invoice which represents 2 months of service. Note that unlike other provides, ExpressVu does NOT charge a fee for additional receivers. RDS HD is finally here along with 5 new french HD channels! RDS HD will offer more than 20 hours of original contents in high-definition each week; that is more than 1000 hours during the next year. Hockey is not the only sport which will be offered in HD! All great sport events will be offered in high-definition, from Montreal’s Canadian matches to major golf tournaments, the Super Bowl, the Grey Cup, tennis tournaments, major baseball eliminatory series and Formula 1 races.
Bell ExpressVu is also announcing the launch of 5 new French HD channels to its already leading HD channel line-up (Nimiq 2 Required). With these additions, ExpressVu continues to lead the competition with a total of 13 full time French HD channels, including Pay-Per-View.

September 1st, 2006: Two new Adult Channels Adult Only Video (AOV) will launch on ExpressVu on September 1st. AOV Movies and AOV Maleflix will be available to Nimiq 2 subscribers.
AOV, the Adult Movie Channel will broadcast adult feature films, scheduled by genre specifically for each viewing demographic. Each film will start at the top or bottom of the clock with new movies added every day. The Maleflixxx Channel boasts top studio productions of gay male adult feature films currently in demand by viewers, scheduled according to gay male viewing habits. Each film starts on the hour or half hour with new programming added daily. All-in-One distinguishes your needs by offering either a Digital (non-HD) or HD kit. You can further customize your choice by adding premium Movies or PVR (personnal video recorder) capability to your satellite TV system (Extra package). For non-HD All-in-one customers, you will also have the possibility to upgrade to an HD or HD PVR Plus receiver at the end of your contract at no extra cost! How does it work? You first purchase a Digital (non-HD) or HD kit and then choose from 2 HD or 2 Digital packages.

July 16th, 2006 Effective July 16, 2006, ExpressVu will be implementing price changes for 9200, 3100 and 4100 receiver’s monthly rental charges.
All new rates will be reflected on your monthly bills starting with the first billing cycle after July 16, 2006. 3100/4100 rental subscribers currently on contracts will be protected from this change until their term expires and will see $0.50 cents ‘Price Protection Credit’ on their bills. 9200 price reduction will however be effective for all term and non-term customers on July 16, 2006. Name-based Recording (NBR) allows you to have your receiver automatically search the Program guide and record programs based on name of actor, word of interest, all episodes or just new episodes of their favorite shows. The Name-based Recording feature offers the following key enhancements and benefits:
Vu Pass Timer - lets you create an automated PVR timer for a program title, actor’s name, or keyword. When you set up a new Vu Pass timer, the receiver automatically sets up timers each time a program matching your search criteria appears in the EPG. January 19th, 2006: More commercial free programming has landed! Bell ExpressVu launched Movie Pix in High Definition! Bell ExpressVu increased its HD line-up to 31 channels on January 19, 2006, with the launch of Movie Pix HD. MPix HD is a dedicated high-definition uncut and commercial free classics movie channel offering select HD simulcasts of programming from The Movie Network's classics movie channels Mpix and Mescape. Programming on MPix HD consists of films, five years or older, ranging from Mpix's suspense, thriller and action-packed movies to the quality drama and light-hearted entertainment found on Mescape. MPix HD can be found on channel 839. The EPG description for the channel appears as MPXHD.
