Viasat High Throughput Velocity Service
Viasat service is currently avaialble throughout the USA and Canada through the Anik F2 and Viasat 1 satellites.
Launched on June 1st, 2017, ViaSat-2 is expected to combine both deep, high-capacity bandwidth and wide coverage, and flexibility to move bandwidth to where demand requires it.
ViaSat-2 is designed to double the bandwidth of ViaSat-1, double the throughput and provide seven times the coverage.
ViaSat-2 will be Viasat's first big step toward spreading high-capacity coverage worldwide for fixed broadband and mobility services for aviation and maritime.
Service on Viasat-2 is scheduled to start in 2018 and its service area should include all of Canada, parts of the Caribbean and Central America.
