Installing the USB <-> Serial driver can be tricky and may need to be done TWICE. See below for a step-by-step guide.
After you connect a USB cable between your PC and the Unaohm AP01, go to "Control Panels" -> "System" -> "Device Manager" and you should see a yellow question mark next to the device that shows up for the link between your computer and the AP01.
Click on "Reinstall driver". Select "Install your driver manually" and browse to the folder extracted it from the Zip file.
Windows will install the driver on your computer.
Once the installation is complete, click on "Finish" to close the window.
The Unaohm driver appears to be installed properly.
Unplug the USB cable between your PC and the Uanohm AP01.
Wait 5 seconds.
Reconnect the USB cable between your PC and the Uanohm AP01.
If you get the "Unknown device" message at the bottom right of your screen followed by the Hardware Installation wizard, you must re-install the driver a second time.
After the second installation, unplug the USB cable between your PC and the Uanohm AP01.
At this point, you should be able to go in your "Device Manager" under "System" in the "Control Panels" and see a virtual USB serial port under "Ports (COM & LPT)"
In our case, the virtual USB serial port for the Unaohm AP01 was installed on COM4.
Launch the Uploader utility and select COM4 in the COM menu.
If you get the "Connection Lost" message, press the red power button on the face of your Unaohm AP01 spectrum analyzer to turn it OFF.
Wait 5 seconds.
Turn you Unaohm AP01 spectrum analyzer ON by pressing the same button.
The message "Instrument On-Line" should appear at which point you can install the latest firmware version in your Unaohm AP01 spectrum analyzer.
You can now enter the key-code provided with your instruction manual (red cardboard) to activate the software.
Once the key is accepted, you will see the serial number of your analyzer under the SN field.
You can then select the update file and upload it to your unit.
The update process takes about 5 minutes
Once complete, restart your analyzer and you are done.
