TSN Jets
Bell is launching the TSN Jets channel in SD and HD on Bell Satellite TV. TSN Jets will:
- broadcast 60 exclusive pre-season and regular season game,
- include pre and post game shows (all games will be available in HD),
- be viewable by clients in applicable viewing areas :
- Manitoba (exclusive Jets territory),
- Northwestern Ontario
- Saskatchewan,
- Nunavut, and
- Northwest Territories.
Note: The channels 423 and 1423 will be blacked out for all other regions on an event basis.
New over-the-air channels
New over-the-air HD channels are launching on both Bell Satellite and Bell Fibe TV. These channels are required due to regulatory requirements. 24 over-the-air (OTA) channels are being launched - 22 of them in HD. Bell Satellite TV currently offers the majority of these HD channels in Standard Definition format.
You must have an MPEG4-capable set-top box (models 6131, 6141, 9241, or 9242) to view the HD channels, as they are in the MPEG4 format. Bell Satellite TV clients without an MPEG4 box will be unable to view the channels on their Electronic Programming Guide (EPG), which benefits out-of-region clients who don’t like multiple feeds of the same channels on their EPG.

A-Channel Name Change
All the over the air A-channel affiliates along with Access (The Education Station) will be rebranded to CTV Two. In addition, the CTV Two rebrand will be accompanied by the launch of CTV Two Toronto HD.
CTV Two HD will only be available in MPEG4 for Bell Satellite. Any of the following receivers qualify for MPEG4 reception: 6131; 6141; 9241; 9242.

NFL Sunday Ticket and NFL Red Zone packages
NFL Sunday Ticket is a premium sports package that provides Football fans with all regular season football games for all teams in the league except for their local team. Regular season price: 4 payments of $50.50 all fees included. Season ends January 2012. SD Channels 451 to 464, HD Channels 1501 to 1514.
NFL Red Zone brings fans the most exciting moments LIVE in SD and/or HD. It features every touchdown from every game, up-to-the-minute fantasy stats, extended highlights and more. Clients with NFL Sunday Ticket: 1 payment of $25.36 all fees included. Clients without NFL Sunday Ticket: 1 payment of $50.74 all fees included. Season ends January 2012.
College Sports
Bell TV clients can now experience the non-stop action of the 2011-2012 season of U.S College Sports. U.S College Sports is a premium sports package for Basketball and Football fans. Bell TV is replacing the U.S College Football and U.S College Basketball packages from last season to bring the best of college football and college basketball together into one great package.
With the enhanced U.S. College Sports package, clients will enjoy:
- Up to 200 college football games, including up to 100 in stunning HD.
- Up to 800 college basketball games, including up to 650 in stunning HD.
Regular season price (all fees included): 1 payment of $100.49.

Setanta Name Change
Setanta Sports was rebranded to Sportsnet World.
The premium soccer content from around the world will remain the same.

Oprah Winfrey Network replaced VIVA on Bell Satellite on March 1st.
Al Jazeera English is now available under International News 2.
Effective February 27, 2011, Bell TV will no longer broadcast the following channels:
- Movieola - Channels such as Silver Screen Classics, Movie Time, Sundance, W Movies and IFC offer similar content.
- Baby First - Treehouse, Playhouse Disney & BBC Kids offer similar content.
- EWTN - Salt & Light, Vision TV offer similar content.
Bell has recently launched 2 new family programming channels in HD:
- Family Channel, a premium commercial-free network offering the best in family television entertainment in over 6 million homes across Canada, is dedicated to celebrating family life and providing a fun experience for all.
- YTV is a Canadian specialty channel aimed at youth, with a programming schedule ranging from pre-schoolers to young adults. Their program includes Nickelodeon produced shows, animations and drama series.

Sportsnet ONE available on Bell TV
Sportsnet ONE is a 24-hour sports digital channel featuring over 800 hours of compelling live-event programming - the majority of which is broadcast in high definition. Sportsnet ONE offers access to additional games not available on existing channels.

On Demand HDTV Pay Per View
On Demand from Bell TV offers a great competitive edge versus Bell TV's cable competitors. In addition, Bell is the only Satellite Television service in Canada that offers an On Demand service. On Demand offers a selection of newly released HD movie titles with some available in amazing HD quality picture and sound. With some offered in full 1080p – Blu-ray quality resolution, Bell TV will be the first TV service provider in Canada to offer 1080p VOD!
On Demand is only available to customers who have a 9241 or 9242 HDPVR. In order to view 1080p you must have a 1080p24 compatible television connected to your 9241/42 via HDMI cable. Pricing for movies: $6.99
Bell buys CTV
Bell announced September 10th that it is acquiring 100% of CTV - Canada’s number 1 media company, including the nation’s premier TV network, the most popular specialty channels in Canada, the leading digital media sites and the largest radio network in the country.
Acquiring CTV substantially strengthens Bell’s competitive position in a fast-moving industry. CTV’s range of premier video content leverages its significant broadband network investments and accelerates Bell’s video growth across all three screens – mobile, online and TV.
Same channels, new names
Content providers are rebranding 9 channels. The rebranded channels will offer content similar to what was shown prior to the rebrand, however, with more of a focus on the content that was most popular on the channel. The channel number, price, and theme packaging will remain unchanged.

Impact of Bill 60 for Customers in Quebec
As of July 1st, 2010, Bell no longuer imposes a long term contract to clients in Quebec who want to benefit from free installation and hardware rebates. Bell decided to eliminate contracts in Quebec due to the inability to recoup all acquisition costs with the new mandate on ETP under Bill 60. Removing contracts is a company decision and is not mandated by Bill 60.

Bell TV is also dropping the cost of selecting 3 or 4 Theme packs:

1. Lifestyle 2 Theme Pack Subscribers
- The Sundance Channel will be added to the Lifestyle 2 Theme Pack at no extra charge.
- Featuring award-winning festival films, original documentaries and more, it’s the ultimate channel for film lovers.
- This channel will replace Sex TV, which will no longer be available in Canada.
- The Sundance channel can be found on channel 613.
2. More Movies Theme Pack Subscribers
- W Movies will replace Drive-In Classics in the More Movies Theme Pack at no extra charge.
- Featuring fantastic romances, comedies and thrilling mysteries, W Movies is your personal ticket to your favourite films.
- W Movies can be found on channel 333.
3. Lifestyle 2 + More Movies
- Sex TV and Drive-In Classics will no longer be available in Canada and will be replaced at no extra charge with Sundance and W Movies, respectively.

4. Lifestyle 2 Them Pack Subscribers & Drive-In Channel - Replaced by Sundance

Bell TV introduces new pick and choose programming for Québec viewers that provides flexible, customizable TV programming.
1. Minimum Requirement: The Basic / La Base
- The Basic package is a minimum requirement that all clients must subscribe to in Quebec whether French or English programming is selected.
- This package includes:
- Channels found in ‘Base numérique’.
- Key local channels found in ‘Partout au Canada’.
- 11 radio channels previously found in several of the theme packs.
- Free Interactive content found in the ‘Base numérique’ and the free HD channels.
Note: Base numérique and/or Digital Standard base packages will no longer be available to new clients.
